Out of Veterans Memorial Park at reasonable hour. Found B in old town Monterey at the old cafe. Usual huge breakfast. Streets were closed for Hispanic cultural parade. Drugstore for lotions. Checked in with St. Timothy's and the laundromat of the Ventana Epic in '07.
Hard heat, long ups along Big Sur headlands.
Driver of suv protected my sweep down the long drop. Lunch under Cypress at bottom of that.
Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park for the night; many of our riding colleagues present and a good swim in Big Sur River. Beer and lime at dusk.
